DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TRANSFERS
- Afternoon arrival in Lima and transfer to selected hotel.
- Overnight stay.
DAY 2: LIMA CITY TOUR
- Breakfast at hotel.
- MODERN LIMA:
- Visit Miraflores district including Love Park with beautiful coastal views.
- Panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana pre-Inca pyramid temple.
- Walk through El Olivar olive grove in San Isidro financial district.
- COLONIAL LIMA:
- Tour historic center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) including San Martin Square with colonial architecture.
- See Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, City Hall, Archbishop's Palace and Desamparados Station.
- SAN FRANCISCO CONVENT AND CATACOMBS:
- Visit this important 17th century convent including ancient library, choir, main cloister and underground catacombs.
- Overnight in Lima.
DAY 3: PARACAS -- ICA
- 05:00 AM Hotel pick-up and departure to Paracas Bay (261 km south of Lima).
- 08:00 AM Arrival in Paracas, transfer to tourist dock for Ballestas Islands tour.
- See "The Candelabra" geoglyph visible only from sea or air.
- Explore Ballestas Islands to observe marine wildlife including seabirds, Humboldt penguins and sea lions.
- Travel to Ica for guided visit to winery and pisco distillery with tastings.
- Lunch featuring regional cuisine.
- Visit Huacachina Oasis ("Oasis of America") for dune buggy rides and sandboarding.
- Return to Lima and transfer to hotel.
DAY 4: LIMA DEPARTURE - CUSCO ARRIVAL + CITY TOUR
- Arrival in Cusco, welcome, assistance and transfer to hotel.
- Rest time for acclimatization.
- 02:00 PM City tour begins at Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun).
- Visit Sacsayhuaman archaeological complex with megalithic stone walls.
- Explore Quenko (ceremonial site), Pucapucara (military post), and Tambomachay (water temple).
- Stop at artisan center for "Inka Tea" refreshment.
- Overnight in Cusco.
- Meals: Breakfast
DAY 5: HUMANTAY LAKE
- Early departure (4:00-4:30 AM) to Mollepata village.
- Continue to Soraypampa valley for breakfast.
- 7 km hike (round trip) to Humantay Lake with views of Humantay Mountain (4,200 masl).
- Arrive at stunning Humantay Lake in 1.5-2 hours (depending on hiking pace).
- Enjoy tranquil waters with impressive mountain views, including Salkantay Mountain in the distance.
- Lunch and time for photos before returning to Cusco.
- Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 6: FULL DAY MACHU PICCHU
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Transfer to Puente Ruinas station for buses to Machu Picchu.
- Guided tour of main structures: The Viewpoint, Temple of Three Windows, Intihuatana (open 7:00-10:00 AM), Main Plaza, etc.
- Return to Aguas Calientes town.
- Afternoon train back to Cusco.
- Transfer to hotel.
- Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 7: VINICUNCA MOUNTAIN (RAINBOW MOUNTAIN)
- Early departure (4:00-4:30 AM) to Cusipata village for breakfast around 7:00 AM.
- 40 minute drive then 2-hour hike to legendary Rainbow Mountain at 5,020 meters above sea level.
- Time to admire the magical color combination of geological formations and take photos.
- 2-hour return hike, lunch before returning to Cusco.
- Arrival at hotel around 4:30 PM.
- Overnight in Cusco.
